Back to School

Scott started Kindergarden a few weeks ago and so far so good. We are set in our fall schedule with lots of fun activities. Scott has gymnastics on mondays and he really likes it. Of course he still jumps and flips all over the house. Steph does the toddler gymnastics also and she has alot of fun running around the floor .

Steph also has a Mom & Tot class that like a Pre-Pre school where I join her during class. They have circle time, craft time, story time etc. She loves playing with the babies and doing crafts.

I'm currently helping a memeber of teh Etsy Mom Team with a knit mitten pattern. She wants me to knit the pattern and proof it for errors. It's in fairisle knitting, and it's my first time doing that. I watched a video on You Tube to learn how. After that I knitting a sweater for my daugheter and after that another baby blanket.

I want to thank Dianne from the Etsy Knitters Team for including me in her weekly spotlight this week! I can't wait to see it.

Finally some sun

After Bible school the kids and I were able to play outside.

Of course, more water balloons, and the water table. I think they go through at least 3 outfits in a day.

My house was a mess by the end of the day, so after soccer practice and Taco Bell (yum!) I straightened up.

Then I finally got to work on my blanket, I'm about half way done. Now we're watching a crazy movie.

Mello Monday

Wasn't feeling great today. I have Addison's Disease here's the summary from the Endocrine website:

Addison's disease is an endocrine or hormonal disorder that occurs in all age groups and afflicts men and women equally. The disease is characterized by weight loss, muscle weakness, fatigue, low blood pressure, and sometimes darkening of the skin in both exposed and nonexposed parts of the body.
Addison's disease occurs when the adrenal glands do not produce enough of the hormone cortisol and, in some cases, the hormone aldosterone. The disease is also called adrenal insufficiency, or hypocortisolism.

Anyway, you're treated with daily steroids to replace what your body doesn't make. So when I'm run down, it makes me feel worse. Just tired, and upset stomach, but it's a pain.

Anyway I took more meds and afew hours later I was feeling better.

Scott has bible school this week, so that was nice for him, cause he get super bored around the house. I'm not good at keeping him busy either. There only so much Uno and Bingo I can play in a day.

After school his friends and their mom/grandmom came over for lunch which was fun. At least it didn't rain!

My hubby is staying over night in NJ where he works so he can work late and early tomorrow w/o driving an hour to and from work.

So now the kids are in bed I'm off to knit for an hour.

My mom (Nana to the kids) is coming tomorrow, yea! I'm lucky she comes almost every Tues. I usually run errands and take a nap.

Nice Saturday

Again today, I didn't get to knit as much as I would like.

I've been playing on the computer, and now it's 10pm, and I'll knit for a little bit then off to bed.

I fianlly got Stephanie's 2 year pix done, two months late! Opps! They are adorable though!

Scott went to a bowling party with daddy today, he's pretty good too.

I totally forgot about Scott's soccer practice/game today. But I was told it rained the whole time anyway, so I'm not that upset about it.

Off to knit! Bye!

Water Ballons!

Not much knitting happened today :(

My son discovered the love of water balloons from his cousin, and today I encouraged it by buying a pack at the dollar store. My fingers are still sore from tying them.

We also went shopping for our Daddy's day present, and ended up getting grill ware (spatula, tongs etc), and golf stuff.

All and all the kids were good, and Stephanie finally went potty in a public restroom. She is terribly afraid because in the first few days of potty training we went into a restroom and the potty had a really loud flush, scared her half to death! If that wasn't bad enough, the next day she sat on a potty that automatically flushed, again, scared her to death! That was a few weeks ago. So I'm hoping she's overcoming her fear of the public potty.

Then, I spent my Friday night at the Giant, so I could shop in peace!

So, even though I didn't get to knit as much as I would like, I was productive I guess!

Work In Progress

Hi Everyone,

Here's my first attempt at blogging!

First off, I'm not a good writter, that's why this will be a challenge for me. I didn't think I would actually start a blog, but I'm jumping on the bandwagon, and seeing where it takes me.

Then, of course, I feel like I have to make it interesting, which will be a challenge, since my life is pretty boring. Except for chaseing two kids around. Scott's five, and Stephanie's two.

I started knitting when I was pregnant with Scott. I was really sick with him and my when I started feeling better my husband said I should get a hobbie. So off I started.

My first blanket was really bad. It's not even a recongnizable shape. It's supposed to be a square, but I forgot to bind off every row, so it' really long at the end. I tied the end in a knot to shorten it and it's looks ok, but it reminds me of how far I've come. We still use the blanket around the house too!
Well, I don't want to over do it, so I'm off to bed.
